"We stayed at Sheldon Park for 5 nights and had a wonderful stay. We were a party of 2 adults and an 11 year old, and we had a triple room, which was lovely. It was very nice to be able to have a full single bed for my daughter, rather than a fold out bed that you get in many family rooms. We found all the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The room staff left our room lovely each day, topping up our teas, making our beds and wiping over the bathroom etc. I often left them with a note of what we needed, or to leave the towels etc and they always followed the note. On one day we were staying in the hotel for a rest day, so I found someone in the corridor and he happily gave me more tea when I'd drunk it all! It had everything that was published for the room - a lovely powerful hairdryer and nice toiletries. It didn't have air-con, but I knew that before I booked and we really didn't need it. It was August when we stayed but the room was a lovely temerature. I'm not sure if they have fans to loan as we didn't even need to ask. There was also no fridge, which I heard someone talking to the receptionist about, but I knew there wouldn't be one as I'd read the room specification and we didn't need one. There are two petrol stations over the road with snacks, a big Costa to sit and relax in, and a McDonalds if you want a quick bite. We also visited Chuan City, which is a Chinese restaurant about a 15 minute walk, and I guessed it was going to be good as it was so busy. It wasn't the cheapest, but the food was amazing. There is a 2 or 3 course set meal with a great variety for the mains if you go before 6pm. The pool is just to the side of the hotel and my daughter said it was the best hotel pool we've had. It's a great size, had some floats for swimming practice or a workout, a jacuzi, steam room and sauna, and was spotlessly clean. The 2 Euro swimming hats are fabric that they supply and require, so we picked up some latex ones in Sports Direct in Dublin for 5 EURO to protect my bright pink hair! Again, the staff at the pool were lovely. We didn't try out any of the fitness stuff, as we were on holiday and would rather eat cake! Thank you Sheldon for a great stay. If we visit Dublin again, it will certainly be where we stay. "
